Happy Val Day!

This weekend was Valentine’s weekend, for all you lovers out there. Ryan and I had a romance-filled weekend. Friday night we went out to sushi with a bunch of friends and had fun watching the snow.
Saturday, we went to the wildlife expo with Craig, Becca and Craig’s dog Henry. Scout and Henry had a fun time playing together out in the park.

Ryan dressed in his camo ready for some wildlife action w/ Scout Beccs and Craig trying to make Craig’s dog, Henry, behave!!!!
Scout & Henry trying to get to know each other. Scout was a little fearful at first, but dominated Henry by the end of the day!

Saturday night was the Valentine’s dinner with our Sunday school class. Our wonderful Sunday school teachers served us out at the Caldwell’s beautiful home in Awendaw, River Oaks. They did not have any electricity because of the snow storm but it just made it more romantic. We had valet parking service when we drove up. Then, we were greeted and given pumpkin soup appetizers and Pelligrino sparkling water....what service!!!!

This is a picture of their beautiful living room with the fine china and arrangements…isn’t it beautiful!
This is the group at our table….Ryan and I , Matt and Alyssa, Emma and Steven. We had so much fun hanging out together….telling our love stories to each other!
Ryan and I during appetizer time!
Beautiful table arrangement!
2nd course….a wonderful mixed greens, goat cheese, and mandarin orange salad

3rd course…an awesome steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus, then the best course of the night in my opinion:

Chocolate decadence….to die for dessert!

Ryan and I during dinner. I found a rose to use for a prop....just for your viewing pleasure :)

This one is for you, Alyssa…..Matt was really ready for the meal to be over, if you know what I mean….

Emma and Steven…I tried to get a candid shot, but every time Steven would just flash this huge grin!

What would a night be without a crazy face pic from the Reeses??!!!!

Girls with our roses as souvenirs to take home….so beautiful!
Scout had a Valentine’s present as well….he got groomed at the new Petco beside our house. He smelled like heaven and looked so cute with the bandana they put on him, so I just had to share a pic of the cute little pup…..
Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!

10 things...

I am such a copy-cat today, but I love this idea! My favorite, Beth Moore, started this on her blog,  and then I noticed my girls, Alyssa and Kathyrn did it on their blogs too. I am learning so many new things about people and, naturally, I need to do it now! Here are the directions: What are 10 things - right off the top of your head - that we would only know about you if we knew you really well? 10 random things ranging anywhere on your personal map that make you a tad distinctive? Or just plain weird? Think quickly. Don't go for deep. Go for quirky. Don't try to put them in any kind of order and don't make them long. Just start typing. Since this is the Reese blog, I will attempt to do it for both of Ryan and myself.... Anna: 1. I hate to shave. Freshman year of college, I only shaved once a week and my friends and people I worked with tried to straighten me out with weekly "armpit checks"...sick, but true. 2. I love zits, abscesses, blood blisters---an

Miracle!!

Ryan and I are so so thankful and excited to make the announcement that we are having a baby! Right now, I have just finished up the first trimester. The baby is almost 15 weeks old. We actually get to find out the gender in a couple of weeks, which is so exciting! It has been such a wonderful time. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. Through this process, the thing that I have been thinking the most of in my heart is that the Lord is good. I don't know why this truth is sometimes hard for me to soak in. Life is hard and trials happen- this is so true and the trials do not make God any less good. However, sometimes, the Lord just gives to His children. I find it so crazy that I am resistant to believe this at times, but I always look at the toughest or hardest outcome in a situation and assume that it will happen. However, through this, I have been reminded that although the Lord allows hard things to happen at times to shape and define us, He does good things a

Reflections

I am currently about to be done with my last class ever in PA school. That fact combined with the fact that I have to turn in my computer in about an hour has inspired me to blog! I cannot believe that this chapter of my life is almost done. As I look back over my life, I think of the many things that I have done and sacrificed to prepare for this moment. High school and working hard to make the best grades possible and be involved so that I could achieve something and do something with my life. College and majoring in Biology so that I could go into the health care field. Figuring out that I wanted to go to PA school and my course changing. I ended up having to take about 36 extra hours on top of biology courses just to get the pre-reqs I needed for PA school. I remember back to the application process and attempting to make sure everything was in order. Then I was devastated when I did not get into PA school that first time. I began a job after we got married at the Heart Center to
