families and birthdays...

We had a great time in Greenville last weekend! We went to celebrate some birthdays in my family and to visit with Ryan's family.

Friday night, we spent some time with Mr. Mike and Ms. Cindy. Scout had really missed them and was thrilled to be reunited with them. They were great sports, even after Scout had like 5 accidents in the house. Oh, the joy of being grandparents to a pup!

Saturday we had a great time hanging out with lots of family. Ms. Cindy and I attempted to take Scout for a walk, but he decided he wanted to lay down in the middle of the walking track instead. So, we tried taking Scout downtown and went for a walk with Cory & Ashey through Falls Park.
That night, we went to Quin & Angie's to celebrate 3 birthdays....Big Ken, Anna and Quin.
Anna turned 6 last week...she is getting so big...and fabulous :)
Quin's birthday is this week, March 3rd, but we celebrated a little early this year
Here is a picture of 2 of the honored guests, Big Ken and Anna, enjoying all the excitement!
Acie and Davis are our 2 nephews....so cute. They were really busy playing but took a short time-out to smile for a picture!
Acie wanted me to take a picture of him with his cross necklace...
Hostess with the mostest...Angie!!!

Meme with Anna and Ragin

Isn't Mae Harmon the cutest thing? Angie puts her to sleep at like 6:30 :), but we got to hang out with her cute little self for a few minutes!
Eadon wanted me to take this picture...."double uggs". She and Mae Harmon both were styling in Ugg boots. You can tell how stylish I am...I don't even know if I spelled "Ugg" right. Sad day when a 1 year old beats you out in the fashion category.

Eadon looking radiant....
Ragin flashing an awesome pose! You can tell these two have had a TON of practice taking pictures!

Uncle Ryan and his nieces....
Time for cake and candles!
Mom and her favorite son....
Angie and Liz get together for a pic..

It was a great weekend and we got to spend some time with our wonderful families! Happy Birthday to Anna, Big Ken and Quin!!!

10 things...

I am such a copy-cat today, but I love this idea! My favorite, Beth Moore, started this on her blog,  and then I noticed my girls, Alyssa and Kathyrn did it on their blogs too. I am learning so many new things about people and, naturally, I need to do it now! Here are the directions: What are 10 things - right off the top of your head - that we would only know about you if we knew you really well? 10 random things ranging anywhere on your personal map that make you a tad distinctive? Or just plain weird? Think quickly. Don't go for deep. Go for quirky. Don't try to put them in any kind of order and don't make them long. Just start typing. Since this is the Reese blog, I will attempt to do it for both of Ryan and myself.... Anna: 1. I hate to shave. Freshman year of college, I only shaved once a week and my friends and people I worked with tried to straighten me out with weekly "armpit checks"...sick, but true. 2. I love zits, abscesses, blood blisters---an

Miracle!!

Ryan and I are so so thankful and excited to make the announcement that we are having a baby! Right now, I have just finished up the first trimester. The baby is almost 15 weeks old. We actually get to find out the gender in a couple of weeks, which is so exciting! It has been such a wonderful time. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. Through this process, the thing that I have been thinking the most of in my heart is that the Lord is good. I don't know why this truth is sometimes hard for me to soak in. Life is hard and trials happen- this is so true and the trials do not make God any less good. However, sometimes, the Lord just gives to His children. I find it so crazy that I am resistant to believe this at times, but I always look at the toughest or hardest outcome in a situation and assume that it will happen. However, through this, I have been reminded that although the Lord allows hard things to happen at times to shape and define us, He does good things a

Reflections

I am currently about to be done with my last class ever in PA school. That fact combined with the fact that I have to turn in my computer in about an hour has inspired me to blog! I cannot believe that this chapter of my life is almost done. As I look back over my life, I think of the many things that I have done and sacrificed to prepare for this moment. High school and working hard to make the best grades possible and be involved so that I could achieve something and do something with my life. College and majoring in Biology so that I could go into the health care field. Figuring out that I wanted to go to PA school and my course changing. I ended up having to take about 36 extra hours on top of biology courses just to get the pre-reqs I needed for PA school. I remember back to the application process and attempting to make sure everything was in order. Then I was devastated when I did not get into PA school that first time. I began a job after we got married at the Heart Center to
