A Cweepy Visit

My sweet friend and roomie from college, Sally, came to visit a couple of weekends ago. Since I am so far behind on blogging, I am just getting to putting the pictures up.

Sal and I began calling each other "cweeps" during our time living together our senior year of college in Grannies. This was mainly because I would wake up in the morning and Sally would be going through my drawers trying to steal something to wear, or I would go upstairs and she would be sitting in the closet...just creepy things that would make me gasp. We then had a fun activity where we liked to change the letter "r" in words to the letter "w" because of a book Sally read to her first graders. Hence the word "cweep". It has really stuck too and now that is what we mainly call one another.

It was so sweet of Sal to drive to see Becca and myself. She lives in Atlanta but drove to Charleston to see us. I took a pic of her in the driver's seat for your viewing pleasure...

We hung out and ate on Thursday when Sally got here. Friday, we went to the beach and then over to Becca's for dinner. Addie and Craig were there for the party too! The best part of the night were molten lava cakes that we made. Here are some pictures of the night's activities:

Don't you just love this jowling picture? So attractive...

The next day, we all went to 3 little birds and then to the beach. After the beach, we decided it would be fun to have a little girl's night in - you know, eating pizza and watching movies. It was the best!

Well, of course our ole dog Scout threw a little wrench in the plans by getting a stomach virus. Poor thing never catches a break. Here is the little guy sulking in the kitchen...

It was so sad to tell Sal "goodbye", but we had a wonderful reunion weekend like old times. It was so much fun. Thanks for visiting us in Charleston, cweep! We love you!

And, last but not least, I thought you would love to see a pic of the cweep in action. This is the classic "cweep" picture that we still enjoy posing for today. A tribute to cweeps everywhere....

10 things...

I am such a copy-cat today, but I love this idea! My favorite, Beth Moore, started this on her blog,  and then I noticed my girls, Alyssa and Kathyrn did it on their blogs too. I am learning so many new things about people and, naturally, I need to do it now! Here are the directions: What are 10 things - right off the top of your head - that we would only know about you if we knew you really well? 10 random things ranging anywhere on your personal map that make you a tad distinctive? Or just plain weird? Think quickly. Don't go for deep. Go for quirky. Don't try to put them in any kind of order and don't make them long. Just start typing. Since this is the Reese blog, I will attempt to do it for both of Ryan and myself.... Anna: 1. I hate to shave. Freshman year of college, I only shaved once a week and my friends and people I worked with tried to straighten me out with weekly "armpit checks"...sick, but true. 2. I love zits, abscesses, blood blisters---an

Miracle!!

Ryan and I are so so thankful and excited to make the announcement that we are having a baby! Right now, I have just finished up the first trimester. The baby is almost 15 weeks old. We actually get to find out the gender in a couple of weeks, which is so exciting! It has been such a wonderful time. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. Through this process, the thing that I have been thinking the most of in my heart is that the Lord is good. I don't know why this truth is sometimes hard for me to soak in. Life is hard and trials happen- this is so true and the trials do not make God any less good. However, sometimes, the Lord just gives to His children. I find it so crazy that I am resistant to believe this at times, but I always look at the toughest or hardest outcome in a situation and assume that it will happen. However, through this, I have been reminded that although the Lord allows hard things to happen at times to shape and define us, He does good things a

Reflections

I am currently about to be done with my last class ever in PA school. That fact combined with the fact that I have to turn in my computer in about an hour has inspired me to blog! I cannot believe that this chapter of my life is almost done. As I look back over my life, I think of the many things that I have done and sacrificed to prepare for this moment. High school and working hard to make the best grades possible and be involved so that I could achieve something and do something with my life. College and majoring in Biology so that I could go into the health care field. Figuring out that I wanted to go to PA school and my course changing. I ended up having to take about 36 extra hours on top of biology courses just to get the pre-reqs I needed for PA school. I remember back to the application process and attempting to make sure everything was in order. Then I was devastated when I did not get into PA school that first time. I began a job after we got married at the Heart Center to
