Grannie's Weekend

I love my Grannies roomies so much. I am sure if you have been following the blog, you know about my sweet roomies from college. We decided we needed a get-together since we hadn't had an all-girls weekend since college. With babies and weddings upcoming (Sally and Becca), we decided we needed to get it done. Well, it was last weekend and it was the BEST EVER!!!

I will always be thankful to the Lord for allowing me to be in fellowship and friendship with these awesome women. It was an amazing blessing to see how much God had grown each one of us in the past few years and how our stages of life have changed. There is something so special about relationships that you know in your heart will stand the test of time. I loved that we hadn't all seen each other in a while but we took up right where we left off......mmmm..such sweet time!

They got here to Greenville on Friday. We spent some time together and then Ryan and I went to an engagement party for Matt and Britt (post to come later). So, I didn't get to spend too much time with the girls on Friday, but they went out to eat and chatted......they were too sweet and only allowed "surface level talk" about movies and books until I was back home!

Here are some pictures from Friday afternoon....
Hols and Beccs....they are actually bringing in the bridesmaids dresses for Becca's wedding that will be here in May...they are soooo beautiful!!

Cute pregnant Sally

All four of us...this was a timed picture..can you tell??

Beautiful friends

Saturday morning, we went to Panera like we used to do in our college days. In college, we would go to Panera and sit for hours talking, so we recreated that moment Saturday morning. Holland and Becca were so annoyed because we left my apartment around 7:30 that morning.....they were trying to tell us Panera wasn't open that early.

After Panera, we went shopping for Becca for some engagement/wedding outfits. She had some luck and tried on some beautiful things. Then, we went and shopped for Sally for some pregnancy clothes for a shower she has coming up. She found such a cute dress!! While in the store, we had to try on the pregnancy bellies for a while...we are really weird but it was so fun.

Holland taking the opportunity to relax while Beccs shopped

Beccs in a cute dress...she didn't get it though (let me know if you want me to go back and get it for you after you see this picture, Becca!!)

This was Sally while shopping and for some reason, the outfit was just really cracking us up....she is just the cutest pregnant woman ever!!

Fake pregnancy...I am carrying really high in this one...

Can you tell who is really pregnant??

Sunday, we had time of talking and prayer. The entire weekend was such a wonderful time!!! I loved every second of it. Thanks, Grannies, for being such special friends to me....I love you each so very much....you are all unique abcesses in my heart (inside joke for the Grans)!

10 things...

I am such a copy-cat today, but I love this idea! My favorite, Beth Moore, started this on her blog,  and then I noticed my girls, Alyssa and Kathyrn did it on their blogs too. I am learning so many new things about people and, naturally, I need to do it now! Here are the directions: What are 10 things - right off the top of your head - that we would only know about you if we knew you really well? 10 random things ranging anywhere on your personal map that make you a tad distinctive? Or just plain weird? Think quickly. Don't go for deep. Go for quirky. Don't try to put them in any kind of order and don't make them long. Just start typing. Since this is the Reese blog, I will attempt to do it for both of Ryan and myself.... Anna: 1. I hate to shave. Freshman year of college, I only shaved once a week and my friends and people I worked with tried to straighten me out with weekly "armpit checks"...sick, but true. 2. I love zits, abscesses, blood blisters---an

Miracle!!

Ryan and I are so so thankful and excited to make the announcement that we are having a baby! Right now, I have just finished up the first trimester. The baby is almost 15 weeks old. We actually get to find out the gender in a couple of weeks, which is so exciting! It has been such a wonderful time. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. Through this process, the thing that I have been thinking the most of in my heart is that the Lord is good. I don't know why this truth is sometimes hard for me to soak in. Life is hard and trials happen- this is so true and the trials do not make God any less good. However, sometimes, the Lord just gives to His children. I find it so crazy that I am resistant to believe this at times, but I always look at the toughest or hardest outcome in a situation and assume that it will happen. However, through this, I have been reminded that although the Lord allows hard things to happen at times to shape and define us, He does good things a

Reflections

I am currently about to be done with my last class ever in PA school. That fact combined with the fact that I have to turn in my computer in about an hour has inspired me to blog! I cannot believe that this chapter of my life is almost done. As I look back over my life, I think of the many things that I have done and sacrificed to prepare for this moment. High school and working hard to make the best grades possible and be involved so that I could achieve something and do something with my life. College and majoring in Biology so that I could go into the health care field. Figuring out that I wanted to go to PA school and my course changing. I ended up having to take about 36 extra hours on top of biology courses just to get the pre-reqs I needed for PA school. I remember back to the application process and attempting to make sure everything was in order. Then I was devastated when I did not get into PA school that first time. I began a job after we got married at the Heart Center to
