Little Beach....Little Baby....

We have been having a great summer so far. We have been able to enjoy the beach twice so far this summer season, which has been amazing!! Ryan and I both had Memorial Day off, so we went to Litchfield. My sister and her family, mom and stepdad and brother were all at the beach. Trey even came to the beach to visit Ryan as well!!

We then went to Litchfield with the Reese family last week. It was such a treat because for a few moments we had all the Reese boys and girls in one spot!!! Cory, Ashley, Matt, Britt, Ms. Cindy, Mr. Mike and ourselves were all together for some beach time. We enjoyed the sun, rested and had some good meals.

It was so much fun to watch the Bachlorette with the Reese girls. We were all wrapped up in blankets and had a few chuckles at some unfortunate wardrobe choices!!! (aka Ryan B. in the wife beater/tank top that was REALLY struggling...did any of y'all catch that??)

My birthday was Tuesday while we were at the beach. It was so nice to enjoy the sun and take a nap and spend time with family. We went out to eat at Frank's which was DELICIOUS!!! It was a great day!

Scout was boarded at a Bed and Breakfast at the beach (seriously...was named a bed and breakfast). So, we were able to pick him up during the day if we wanted to spend some time with him at the beach. He loves the waves and just rolls around in the sand. He had a fun time!!

We went home on Wednesday. Sad to leave the beach, but we were also excited because we had a doctor's appointment and ultrasound. On this ultrasound, we could elect to find out what gender the baby was. Of course, we couldn't wait and were just bursting to find out. I was a little hesitant thinking that maybe the baby would be covered up and we would not be able to find out just yet. However, our sweet baby must have known how excited we were and just cooperated beautifully. Some of my family came to Greenville for the gender reveal and it was fun to set up the house to surprise them with the gender.

Had this sign on the door when they all came over

Put blue streamers at the doorway and balloons for them to walk through when they came through the door (it's a boy, by the way!!!!!!)

Excited parents-to-be!!!

The family was pretty surprised, but of course, they were pumped!!!!

I found this great app for the I Phone so that we could take this picture to send out to the rest of the family and our friends to share our fun news!!!!

We can't believe we are having a baby boy!! So, so exciting!!! You can see we have been having some fun this summer! And, we have managed to squeeze some working in there too:)

  1. Ryan B's tank top/wife beater was a big hit at our house that night, too. Big fashion mistake Bowers, ha! You look so cute : )

10 things...

I am such a copy-cat today, but I love this idea! My favorite, Beth Moore, started this on her blog,  and then I noticed my girls, Alyssa and Kathyrn did it on their blogs too. I am learning so many new things about people and, naturally, I need to do it now! Here are the directions: What are 10 things - right off the top of your head - that we would only know about you if we knew you really well? 10 random things ranging anywhere on your personal map that make you a tad distinctive? Or just plain weird? Think quickly. Don't go for deep. Go for quirky. Don't try to put them in any kind of order and don't make them long. Just start typing. Since this is the Reese blog, I will attempt to do it for both of Ryan and myself.... Anna: 1. I hate to shave. Freshman year of college, I only shaved once a week and my friends and people I worked with tried to straighten me out with weekly "armpit checks"...sick, but true. 2. I love zits, abscesses, blood blisters---an

Miracle!!

Ryan and I are so so thankful and excited to make the announcement that we are having a baby! Right now, I have just finished up the first trimester. The baby is almost 15 weeks old. We actually get to find out the gender in a couple of weeks, which is so exciting! It has been such a wonderful time. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. Through this process, the thing that I have been thinking the most of in my heart is that the Lord is good. I don't know why this truth is sometimes hard for me to soak in. Life is hard and trials happen- this is so true and the trials do not make God any less good. However, sometimes, the Lord just gives to His children. I find it so crazy that I am resistant to believe this at times, but I always look at the toughest or hardest outcome in a situation and assume that it will happen. However, through this, I have been reminded that although the Lord allows hard things to happen at times to shape and define us, He does good things a

Reflections

I am currently about to be done with my last class ever in PA school. That fact combined with the fact that I have to turn in my computer in about an hour has inspired me to blog! I cannot believe that this chapter of my life is almost done. As I look back over my life, I think of the many things that I have done and sacrificed to prepare for this moment. High school and working hard to make the best grades possible and be involved so that I could achieve something and do something with my life. College and majoring in Biology so that I could go into the health care field. Figuring out that I wanted to go to PA school and my course changing. I ended up having to take about 36 extra hours on top of biology courses just to get the pre-reqs I needed for PA school. I remember back to the application process and attempting to make sure everything was in order. Then I was devastated when I did not get into PA school that first time. I began a job after we got married at the Heart Center to
