A change is coming...

I have never been a big fan of change- major or minor. That fact does not stop change from coming. Change is such an interesting thing....exciting and scary, new opportunities but you have to leave old things behind, full of possibility but full of unknown. I do not fight change, however, because I know that change pushes me, it challenges me and it continues to make me grow. Change is something that is scary and overwhelming at first, but in the end, you are really the one who benefits. Ryan and I are moving to Greenville. We always thought it was a possibility but did not know for sure until Ryan talked with his boss this week. We were not sure if Ryan was going to be able to keep his job if we moved, but he will be able to! This was a huge blessing......it gave us the clear direction we needed to go to Greenville and it blesses us with 2 jobs which is huge with the financial responsibilities we have. We are super excited. We both have always loved Greenville. It is a really fun ...

Launching.....

PeopleMatterHire! Ryan's company's first product out on the market. People Matter had their big launch event Tuesday. It was so exciting to be a part of. I guess most of you know that Ryan has been working for this new start-up company since last Thanksgiving. The company has changed their vision and product a couple of times since they first got started, but they have been working hard since day one. I was so proud to see what Ryan and his company have been working hard on for the past year. I finally know what my husband is selling for a living...JOY!!! It was a very cool day and I was glad to be there to see everyone's excitement as the new product was revealed. Way to go, Ryan! Way to go, People Matter! Here is a picture of Ryan from the event. Can you tell how pumped he is that this day has finally come??!!

Fun with Scout

I realize I haven't given an update on Scout in a while. He weighs 82 pounds now!!!!! He is getting so big. We are having tons of fun with the little guy. Scout and I go on walks around the neighborhood in the morning and in the afternoon. He does great when we use his gentle leader to help keep him from pulling on the leash. Since I have been home, he hangs with me around the house...mostly sleeping during the day or playing with his toy duck. He also loves playing with his friends, Samson and Tiger. Ryan and I love taking pictures with Scout because he makes us laugh by being pretty great at looking into the camera and trying to eat the flash. Here are some from the other night... Ryan has been worried that Scout gets cold during the night. He has started "tucking" Scout in after he lays down to go to sleep. This just really cracked me up and we had to snap a picture... He sure does look cozy. Well, hope you all liked the Scout update. We don't have any c...

Praises!!!!

I found out this morning that I passed the board exam! I am beyond thankful for this blessing. All the time I was studying I was in a cloud of doubt...wondering if the PA profession was right for me, what would I do if I failed, how was I ever going to get through it? But, this process brought me to my knees in new ways. I prayed each day for His strength to bring His work to completion. This was the verse that I would repeat throughout the days of studying and it is so special to me: "You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great." -Psalm 18:35 The Lord answers prayer. This small prayer about helping give me success with the boards to bigger prayers about salvation for our loved ones and healing for those who are sick. We serve a God who hears us....HOW AMAZING!! He stoops down to uphold us in His right hand. Trust in Him today, friends. He IS surely big enough for anything you can lay at His feet. He hears you an...

THREE...and still as happy as can be!

Ryan and I celebrated 3 years of marriage last week! I can hardly believe it has been 3 years. We have had laughter, tears, joy, hardship and FUN. I am so thankful to God for the wonderful gift of marriage. Where else would you come face-to-face with your impurity and selfishness and want to change to be better? It opens your eyes to see things about yourself that would never think about otherwise. It challenges you to live with another person daily and to learn how to love them well and to learn how to push them more to Christ. I am thankful for how well Ryan loves me and for the way he helps me love Christ more. This is one of my favorite pictures from our wedding day. To me it symbolizes what I hope our marriage is about. Just walking together on the narrow road that leads to Jesus, holding one another up along the way. I am so thankful I have a man who loves Jesus more than me and that wants me to keep growing. I hope each of you have or will have the same. What a gift!!!!

A Big Day!

Well, it finally happened! I graduated from PA school last Friday! The ceremony was really nice with some great speakers that got us pumped about our future careers. The best part was all my family that came!!  Even my nieces who were celebrating their birthday missed school to come to the graduation. My 3 sets of parents were there and brothers and sisters. It was great. We went out to eat after it all and celebrated the birthday with some cupcakes.  My dad and Kim Mom and Big Ken My grandmother, Mama Scott Mrs. Cindy and Mr. Mike Bokes and me Elizabeth and Quin Throwing up the "1-1" in honor of their birthday My aunts, Rosy and Meri Amber and I Holly and I showing off the new coats! The Reeses took us to Litchfield for the weekend. It was a great retreat and fun time to be with everyone, but we missed Matt and Britt! Scout had his first stay at the kennel and now, of course, he is sick. He started on some antibiotics today. But, for those of you who k...

PA PA-rty!

Our PA class threw a graduation party last weekend which was so much fun! Ryan and I had a great time celebrating with all my pals from school. Our party was at the Charleston Yacht Club. We had a great band and good food and drinks. Ryan and I were on the dance floor all night!!! We thought we would only end up staying at the party for a little while, but when we finally looked at the time, we had already been partying for about 4 hours. It was a great time and so much fun to hang out with sweet friends that I have made in school. Here is a picture of some of us "girlfriends" having a blast at the PA-Partay!!!
