Can't keep a good dog down....

Scout has had a tough time being a puppy.  He is a mere 6 months old, but has really been through it. From a bowel obstruction to a severe bacterial skin infection, the poor pup has not really had a normal childhood. It has been a constant joke around the house because last week, he was taking 4 pills in the morning, eyedrops in each eye and 3 pills at night! All of his ailments have improved, so Ryan and I thought it would be a good time for him to get neutered.  Poor little guy...he just doesn't get a break :( Here are some pics of Ryan and myself goofing around with Scout: He really has been a joy to us. I think the Lord brought him in my life to teach me some flexibility, patience and selflessness.  It has been so much fun! Scout did great for the surgery and is back to his old self on post op day 2 here at the house. When I went to pick him up yesterday, he was walking zig zag and wimpering...poor guy. But, you know I had to snap a few pics of him as we were on our trip

Blessing via Simulcast..

"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to PUT OFF your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to BE MADE NEW in the attitude of your minds; and to PUT ON the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." -Ephesians 4:22-24 My bible study girls and my friend, Beccs and myself all attended the Beth Morre simulcast on her new book, "So Long, Insecurity" on Saturday. It was a great time of worship, teaching, fellowship and learning. In total, there were 300,000 women that met together last Saturday for a fresh word from God about our genders' chronic battle with the issue of insecurity. The constant charge is this verse from Ephesians....the call to put off our old self-thoughts, patterns and issues from our former way of life and to put on the hope, truth and security that is found only in Christ. The bible study will start studying this book soon and I think many women across the world will too. I

Your Pie

The shopping center by our house has recently become AWESOME! We have always had a Steinmart and Tuesday morning, which I enjoyed. Then, last fall the new Harris Teeter opened. How incredible is it when you can just walk over to your neighborhood grocery store and pick up some sugar, or our favorite late-night pick up...dessert??!!  A Petco opened in February which was perfect timing considering that is when Scout became part of our family. All that was missing was a great resturaunt... Your Pie is pretty much the best pizza place ever. It is like a Moe's except for pizza. You pick your crust, sauce and toppings and it is cooked in a brick oven.....PERFECTION! Ryan and I absolutely love it! Tonight, we were able to double date at Your Pie with Craig and Beccs. Ryan and I had really missed Craig, so it was a fun reunion. Here are some pics of the cute couple... Ryan cannot take a serious, smiley picture, so this is all we are left with... We all got something a little di

PA Student Woes...

Being a PA student is a wonderful blessing from the Lord. Mainly because of the profession that it will enable me to practice. School allows me a diploma which allows me to do what I love-practice medicine. The 15 month didactic year is challenging, but there are classmates and friends with you the entire time rooting you to victory. Rotations are a different story. It is a lot of fun to practice different disciplines and meet new people. However, we spend five weeks at a time with these doctors and nurses that we are placed with. It is hard not to get attached when you are spending so much time with the people that you work with. Then, just as you start to get comfortable and in the groove, it is your last day there and you start from square one again. I know that it is getting me closer to the goal of graduating, but it is a tough time period of constant change. Well, rotation 6 was especially hard for me leave. I was in Barnwell, SC for my family medicine rotation. A wonderful cou

Sublime Saturday!

We had a truly sublime Saturday this weekend! The weather was perfect, our little family was together and we did not have any where we had to be.....how refreshing! We started at 3 Little Birds....our favorite Saturday morning spot. We met Becca and Marshall and had a wonderful time! We got home, took Scout for a walk and took some pictures with our blooming azaleas in the backyard! Our little dog is really growing...5 months old! We went downtown to walk and enjoy some site-seeing. Battery Park was so nice, so we sat for a while in the sun while Scout napped! My sister, her husband and their 4 kids came to Charleston and were downtown, too! We met them in Waterfront park in the afternoon. Scout was a little frightened with all of my nieces and nephew, but he seemed to enjoy it. It was great getting to spend some time with all of them! Aren't they precious?! Beautiful girls! It ended with a date with Ryan to The Mustard Seed...we even got dessert that was delicious! All

So Long, Insecurity!

As most of you know, I love B-Moore. She has really opened up Scripture to me and taught me many things through the Lord's guidance.  God and I have come a long way in my life, and Beth has been a tool for me to learn from and listen to throughout this journey together.  She has great in-depth Bible studies that allow you to dig deep in Scripture and go places with God. This is her newest book, So Long, Insecurity!  I have absolutely loved it!!!  I first learned about it on her blog where she asks questions from the book each week and encourages you to answer them for yourself. My friend, Becca, and I have "Walks and Worship" where we walk and talk about the questions she has asked from the book. Insecurity has really been a robber in my life. It has stolen things from me that I will not allow to be taken from me anymore. Insecurity has been a true struggle in my life. I would say the worst thing that it has done is cause me not to trust God at times, who is the most f

Easter time in Greenville

Ryan and I headed to Greenville on Thursday night last week. We were so excited to spend time with Ryan's family and to see our much-missed dog, Scout. We got to Greenville and met Cory for dinner at PF Changs....so delicious and a nice way to start the weekend! Then, we headed to Powdersville to see Ryan's mom and dad and Scout. We were so pumped to be reunited with him again!   ] Friday, we had to do some work and went for a walk downtown...it was beautiful! We went to the Good Friday service at Grace and had a wonderful time of worship and communion. Ryan and I got pizza and watched "Did you hear about the Morgans?". It was such a fun little date night! Saturday was gorgeous! We enjoyed the nice weather. Ryan helped his dad do some work while I read. My men hanging out in Mr. Mike's truck.....                                 Here is Britt posing with Scout.... Mr. Mike cooked out for all the Reese brothers...steak and shrimp...mmmmm!! It was wonderf
