Weekend with Grannies

Some of my sweetest, funniest, greatest memories from college happened with my friends Sally, Holland and Becca. Our senior year, we lived in a very, very old and outdated house. The house was covered in carpet that was a puke-green color and we had lovely wallpaper in most of the rooms. Because of this house, we became known as "the grannies". Even though we are almost 4 years out of our college experience, we still refer to each other as "grans".

We had a reunion this weekend because of a friend's wedding that was in the Atlanta-area. We all stayed with our friend, Sally and her husband Taylor, who live there. It was a wonderful and sweet weekend of laughter and fellowship.

Sally is almost 5-months pregnant. She just found out she is having a little girl. We are thrilled for the Stanfills as they get to anticipate the birth of their sweet daughter. Here are some pics of cute pregnant Sally:

Scout had to stay with Ryan's parents this weekend, but we got to play with Sally and Taylor's dog, Phelps. Isn't he handsome?

We got to Atlanta and hung out for a while. Then we got ready and headed to the wedding. The wedding was beautiful with a very fun reception afterwards.

After the wedding, we went back to the Stanfills where the greatest after-party ever went down! We decided to choreograph a dance to the hit song, "Dynamite". I am not sure how long we danced, but we made up moves to the entire song. It was great!

Then after all the exercise, we all decided to go to Waffle House. I was the annoying one who took my camera with me into the restaurant at 11 pm at night, but I got some pretty hilarious pictures that I love!

There is an incredible blessing in having great friends that you can laugh with, cry with, share with, pray with and just enjoy being with. The Grannies are truly that for me. It was such a wonderful time of being with one another.

I will leave you with this picture of my crazy man of a husband. When you get down this week, try and make a crazier face than this one!!

10 things...

I am such a copy-cat today, but I love this idea! My favorite, Beth Moore, started this on her blog,  and then I noticed my girls, Alyssa and Kathyrn did it on their blogs too. I am learning so many new things about people and, naturally, I need to do it now! Here are the directions: What are 10 things - right off the top of your head - that we would only know about you if we knew you really well? 10 random things ranging anywhere on your personal map that make you a tad distinctive? Or just plain weird? Think quickly. Don't go for deep. Go for quirky. Don't try to put them in any kind of order and don't make them long. Just start typing. Since this is the Reese blog, I will attempt to do it for both of Ryan and myself.... Anna: 1. I hate to shave. Freshman year of college, I only shaved once a week and my friends and people I worked with tried to straighten me out with weekly "armpit checks"...sick, but true. 2. I love zits, abscesses, blood blisters---an

Miracle!!

Ryan and I are so so thankful and excited to make the announcement that we are having a baby! Right now, I have just finished up the first trimester. The baby is almost 15 weeks old. We actually get to find out the gender in a couple of weeks, which is so exciting! It has been such a wonderful time. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. Through this process, the thing that I have been thinking the most of in my heart is that the Lord is good. I don't know why this truth is sometimes hard for me to soak in. Life is hard and trials happen- this is so true and the trials do not make God any less good. However, sometimes, the Lord just gives to His children. I find it so crazy that I am resistant to believe this at times, but I always look at the toughest or hardest outcome in a situation and assume that it will happen. However, through this, I have been reminded that although the Lord allows hard things to happen at times to shape and define us, He does good things a

Reflections

I am currently about to be done with my last class ever in PA school. That fact combined with the fact that I have to turn in my computer in about an hour has inspired me to blog! I cannot believe that this chapter of my life is almost done. As I look back over my life, I think of the many things that I have done and sacrificed to prepare for this moment. High school and working hard to make the best grades possible and be involved so that I could achieve something and do something with my life. College and majoring in Biology so that I could go into the health care field. Figuring out that I wanted to go to PA school and my course changing. I ended up having to take about 36 extra hours on top of biology courses just to get the pre-reqs I needed for PA school. I remember back to the application process and attempting to make sure everything was in order. Then I was devastated when I did not get into PA school that first time. I began a job after we got married at the Heart Center to
