A Day for Thanksgiving

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."
Psalm 107:1

Ryan and I have so many blessings to be thankful for today and every day. We are so blessed to be children of God, washed by the blood of Christ and saved by His grace. We are incredibly thankful for both of our wonderful families who give us great love, joy and encouragement. We are thankful for the people God has blessed us with in life that walk alongside us and point us deeper to who God is. We are blessed to be healthy with good jobs that we enjoy. We truly have blessing upon blessing in Christ.

Today, our quiet time reading was about basking in the fact that we have complete freedom in Christ. I reflected on this thought throughout this day and I have to say that it is truly astounding. That which Christ has set free is free indeed....hallelujah?! I am thankful to be saved completely by Him and then to be set free in His grace. Praise the Lord!!

Ryan and I had a great morning of just hanging out, eating breakfast and having time in the Word together. Then, we watched some of the Macy's parade. We walked Scout to the dog park and let him play for a while. Then, our friend Amber came over and we all rode over to Ryan's Aunt Elaine's house together. All the food was delicious and we had a great time. Here are some pictures from the day...

We were so glad that Britt decided to come visit for the meal....here she is with Mrs. Cindy

10 things...

I am such a copy-cat today, but I love this idea! My favorite, Beth Moore, started this on her blog,  and then I noticed my girls, Alyssa and Kathyrn did it on their blogs too. I am learning so many new things about people and, naturally, I need to do it now! Here are the directions: What are 10 things - right off the top of your head - that we would only know about you if we knew you really well? 10 random things ranging anywhere on your personal map that make you a tad distinctive? Or just plain weird? Think quickly. Don't go for deep. Go for quirky. Don't try to put them in any kind of order and don't make them long. Just start typing. Since this is the Reese blog, I will attempt to do it for both of Ryan and myself.... Anna: 1. I hate to shave. Freshman year of college, I only shaved once a week and my friends and people I worked with tried to straighten me out with weekly "armpit checks"...sick, but true. 2. I love zits, abscesses, blood blisters---an

Miracle!!

Ryan and I are so so thankful and excited to make the announcement that we are having a baby! Right now, I have just finished up the first trimester. The baby is almost 15 weeks old. We actually get to find out the gender in a couple of weeks, which is so exciting! It has been such a wonderful time. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. Through this process, the thing that I have been thinking the most of in my heart is that the Lord is good. I don't know why this truth is sometimes hard for me to soak in. Life is hard and trials happen- this is so true and the trials do not make God any less good. However, sometimes, the Lord just gives to His children. I find it so crazy that I am resistant to believe this at times, but I always look at the toughest or hardest outcome in a situation and assume that it will happen. However, through this, I have been reminded that although the Lord allows hard things to happen at times to shape and define us, He does good things a

Reflections

I am currently about to be done with my last class ever in PA school. That fact combined with the fact that I have to turn in my computer in about an hour has inspired me to blog! I cannot believe that this chapter of my life is almost done. As I look back over my life, I think of the many things that I have done and sacrificed to prepare for this moment. High school and working hard to make the best grades possible and be involved so that I could achieve something and do something with my life. College and majoring in Biology so that I could go into the health care field. Figuring out that I wanted to go to PA school and my course changing. I ended up having to take about 36 extra hours on top of biology courses just to get the pre-reqs I needed for PA school. I remember back to the application process and attempting to make sure everything was in order. Then I was devastated when I did not get into PA school that first time. I began a job after we got married at the Heart Center to
