Harry Potter

Well, I have been out of school and done with boards and waiting on my job to start with no other real responsibilities for the last month or two. I thought there was no better time to read the Harry Potter series. I absolutely love to read and I recently started watching all the movies. But, deep down, I cannot be satisfied with a movie....I have to read the book. Movies really never are quite as good as the books they are made from. Anyway, I began reading the books, starting with the first and just finished the last book number seven today. I am sad that my time with Harry is finished but I was thoroughly entertained by every adventure. At first, I was a little weirded out by the whole magic issue, but I realized the reason I was so intrigued was because it was another classic tale of good-vs-evil. I obviously will not tell you which side wins in the end, just in case you have never read the books either. I will definitely tell you they are a fun and exciting read if you are loo

Hiking Humor!

Ryan, Scout and I attempted to go to the mountains to hike last weekend. The short version (if you want to stop reading here) is that it did not go well. It started out with Ryan and I making a compromise to go to Saluda, NC because it was closer to Greenville than the other places Ryan had researched. Since we went to Saluda on a whim, we had not idea about any of the trails there. We found one on Google and decided to try it out. It took an hour and some help from the locals to point us to the direction of the trail. We basically had to just go down a road until we saw cars parked and we would be there. We made it to the "parked cars"...which was fairly easy to find, but there were only about 6 other cars parked there for two different trails. You should know that I do not like to hike if there are not a lot of people around. I like to be with a group of people or pass a lot of people as we are hiking. Well, neither of these wishes came true on the trail. We did not pass

Greenville-ites!

Not really sure how people in Greenville refer to themselves, so I guessed "Greenville-ites". Maybe someone will enlighten me in the future. Anyway, we are here in Greenville, moved and settled in. We left Charleston on Friday. We had a moving van and ended up getting a trailer for my car as well!! We had loads of family help us move the furniture in and get cleaned and settled here in the apartment. We are liking the new apartment and getting adjusted. We are in a great location near Augusta Rd. We are enjoying spending time with both of our families. Ryan is working from the apartment right now and will travel back to Charleston every other week. I will hopefully be starting work in the next week or two. That is about all I have for now. Greetings from the upstate!!!!
