A Day for Thanksgiving

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." Psalm 107:1 Ryan and I have so many blessings to be thankful for today and every day. We are so blessed to be children of God, washed by the blood of Christ and saved by His grace. We are incredibly thankful for both of our wonderful families who give us great love, joy and encouragement. We are thankful for the people God has blessed us with in life that walk alongside us and point us deeper to who God is. We are blessed to be healthy with good jobs that we enjoy. We truly have blessing upon blessing in Christ. Today, our quiet time reading was about basking in the fact that we have complete freedom in Christ. I reflected on this thought throughout this day and I have to say that it is truly astounding. That which Christ has set free is free indeed....hallelujah?! I am thankful to be saved completely by Him and then to be set free in His grace. Praise the Lord!! Ryan and I had a great morning of just ha

Weekend with Grannies

Some of my sweetest, funniest, greatest memories from college happened with my friends Sally, Holland and Becca. Our senior year, we lived in a very, very old and outdated house. The house was covered in carpet that was a puke-green color and we had lovely wallpaper in most of the rooms. Because of this house, we became known as "the grannies". Even though we are almost 4 years out of our college experience, we still refer to each other as "grans".  We had a reunion this weekend because of a friend's wedding that was in the Atlanta-area. We all stayed with our friend, Sally and her husband Taylor, who live there. It was a wonderful and sweet weekend of laughter and fellowship.  Sally is almost 5-months pregnant. She just found out she is having a little girl. We are thrilled for the Stanfills as they get to anticipate the birth of their sweet daughter. Here are some pics of cute pregnant Sally:  Scout had to stay with Ryan's parents this weekend, but w

New Holiday Fav!

So, one of my favorite things on my days off is to finish off a workout with a Starbuck's coffee drink. I am basically a Starbucks fanatic....not so much for their coffee, but for all their flavored drinks. I have tried almost all of the featured drinks of the season, but found my all-time favorite ever today! It is the......Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha! Delicious, refreshing, minty, Christmas-thought-provoking, and packed with so much expresso that your hands will tremor! I am just so excited I found my new favorite before the Christmas season has begun! Well, I had a grande this morning (usually get a tall) and I have so much caffeine going through my veins that I am typing about 200 wpm. So, I better go and put this caffeine high to good use. Who knows what I can get done today after this delicious find?? So, go out this weekend and try one. Because from November 18-21 if you go to Starbucks between 2pm and 5pm, you can get a buy one free one deal on all the holiday drin

Sad Day in Greenville

Yesterday, my brother and his family moved to Chicago. When we were originally thinking of moving to Greenville, we were so pumped because it meant that we would get to be closer to them. A few weeks before we moved from Charleston, we found out that they were going to be leaving Greenville and moving to Chicago. Quin was presented with a great job opportunity and after much prayer and discussion, they decided they would be moving. When Ryan and I moved here, I really tried to spend as much time with them as I could. This was great because I was spending time with them, but now I think I am even more sad because I know now what a sweet time it was. I loved having my brother, sister-in-law and their kids right around the corner. I loved stopping by while they were eating breakfast at Mug and Muffin (awesome breakfast place here) and playing with the kids. I loved helping Angie out by watching Mae for a little while so she could go run errands. It was so fun! Yesterday I went over to t

Halloween

Bummer that I had to work most of Halloween day. But, I did get to see my niece and nephew dressed up before the night was over. My brother and his wife, Quin and Angie, and their two children, Acie and Mae Harmon live here in Greenville and it is so fun having them close. I am beyond sad that they are leaving in two weeks to Chicago. I have really enjoyed stopping by and hanging out with them when I have a few minutes and babysitting if I am needed. I also love having Quin and Angie around to talk to. We all know they have to go to Chicago, but it is still sad :( Anyway, Ryan and I went over to Quin and Angie's last night to spend some time. Mae Harmon looked so precious and Acie was super scary as a zombie. Acie Mae Harmon Hatfield family....how cute are they?? Ryan and I attempted to take a picture with both of them....didn't turn out as we hoped!! Hope you had a great Halloween!!!
