Happy Birthday Bokes!




Ryan's birthday was Tuesday...the big 2-9!!  For those of you who don't know, Ryan and I call each other "bokes" as a pet name..we actually stole it from my friend Sal from the last post and her hubby, Taylor. So, it was Bokes' birthday Tuesday and we just had to celebrate!

This is actually the first year since we have been together, dating or married that I have actually seen Ryan on his birthday day. So, I just wanted to make it so special for him.

I set up all his cards for him when he got home from work and then Scout and I gave him our presents. He got a sweet card that Scout picked out himself :), and a gift certificate for a massage which he loved!


We went to dinner with our bible study groups at Moe's Tavern for half-price burgers...delicious. We had a big turn out of 15 people for the party. It was a blast! Here are some pics of all the couples and other shots from the dinner party.


So much fun!! When Ryan and I got home, we had the cake and watched American Idol. I think it was a great birthday and he really enjoyed it!

    Real cool Anna. I guess Craig and I didn't make the couple shots. Is it just because we are not a part of the "small group"?

Miracle!!

Ryan and I are so so thankful and excited to make the announcement that we are having a baby! Right now, I have just finished up the first trimester. The baby is almost 15 weeks old. We actually get to find out the gender in a couple of weeks, which is so exciting! It has been such a wonderful time. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. Through this process, the thing that I have been thinking the most of in my heart is that the Lord is good. I don't know why this truth is sometimes hard for me to soak in. Life is hard and trials happen- this is so true and the trials do not make God any less good. However, sometimes, the Lord just gives to His children. Praises!!!!

I found out this morning that I passed the board exam! I am beyond thankful for this blessing. All the time I was studying I was in a cloud of doubt...wondering if the PA profession was right for me, what would I do if I failed, how was I ever going to get through it? But, this process brought me to my knees in new ways. I prayed each day for His strength to bring His work to completion.
