A change is coming...

I have never been a big fan of change- major or minor. That fact does not stop change from coming. Change is such an interesting thing....exciting and scary, new opportunities but you have to leave old things behind, full of possibility but full of unknown. I do not fight change, however, because I know that change pushes me, it challenges me and it continues to make me grow. Change is something that is scary and overwhelming at first, but in the end, you are really the one who benefits.

Ryan and I are moving to Greenville. We always thought it was a possibility but did not know for sure until Ryan talked with his boss this week. We were not sure if Ryan was going to be able to keep his job if we moved, but he will be able to! This was a huge blessing......it gave us the clear direction we needed to go to Greenville and it blesses us with 2 jobs which is huge with the financial responsibilities we have.

We are super excited. We both have always loved Greenville. It is a really fun time in life. I get to start working as a PA, we get to live with cool friends and family and we will hopefully get to be home owners. However, we are sad to leave Charleston. This is the place where we have spent most of our married life. God has blessed us with wonderful friends and fellowship, a great church and a network of great people. We love going to the beach on the weekends and late afternoons, walking on the battery after a long day and all our traditions we have made here. It is such a bittersweet thing to be leaving.

We are moving next Friday. Even though there is change that is coming, we are looking expectantly to see what God will do with it. We believe He is over this move and our jobs and we trust His will will be done. Although my heart breaks to leave great friends and the life we have made here, it is joyful to see what great things God has in store.

10 things...

I am such a copy-cat today, but I love this idea! My favorite, Beth Moore, started this on her blog,  and then I noticed my girls, Alyssa and Kathyrn did it on their blogs too. I am learning so many new things about people and, naturally, I need to do it now! Here are the directions: What are 10 things - right off the top of your head - that we would only know about you if we knew you really well? 10 random things ranging anywhere on your personal map that make you a tad distinctive? Or just plain weird? Think quickly. Don't go for deep. Go for quirky. Don't try to put them in any kind of order and don't make them long. Just start typing. Since this is the Reese blog, I will attempt to do it for both of Ryan and myself.... Anna: 1. I hate to shave. Freshman year of college, I only shaved once a week and my friends and people I worked with tried to straighten me out with weekly "armpit checks"...sick, but true. 2. I love zits, abscesses, blood blisters---an...

Miracle!!

Ryan and I are so so thankful and excited to make the announcement that we are having a baby! Right now, I have just finished up the first trimester. The baby is almost 15 weeks old. We actually get to find out the gender in a couple of weeks, which is so exciting! It has been such a wonderful time. The Lord has truly blessed us with this miracle. Through this process, the thing that I have been thinking the most of in my heart is that the Lord is good. I don't know why this truth is sometimes hard for me to soak in. Life is hard and trials happen- this is so true and the trials do not make God any less good. However, sometimes, the Lord just gives to His children. I find it so crazy that I am resistant to believe this at times, but I always look at the toughest or hardest outcome in a situation and assume that it will happen. However, through this, I have been reminded that although the Lord allows hard things to happen at times to shape and define us, He does good things a...

Praises!!!!

I found out this morning that I passed the board exam! I am beyond thankful for this blessing. All the time I was studying I was in a cloud of doubt...wondering if the PA profession was right for me, what would I do if I failed, how was I ever going to get through it? But, this process brought me to my knees in new ways. I prayed each day for His strength to bring His work to completion. This was the verse that I would repeat throughout the days of studying and it is so special to me: "You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great." -Psalm 18:35 The Lord answers prayer. This small prayer about helping give me success with the boards to bigger prayers about salvation for our loved ones and healing for those who are sick. We serve a God who hears us....HOW AMAZING!! He stoops down to uphold us in His right hand. Trust in Him today, friends. He IS surely big enough for anything you can lay at His feet. He hears you an...
